Audi TT DSG Repair
Today we have an interesting repair job in the workshop. The customer has experienced the quite common DSG failure where drive disappears altogether due to a faulty mechatronic unit (the main control part of the gearbox). We will drain the DSG oil, strip the unit out of the gearbox and send it off for repair. Then the repaired unit will be re-fitted, new DSG oil and filter fitted along with new gaskets on the cover plates, a quick diagnostic check and then road test. Job done! The procedure at Audi is to replace the mechatronic unit at a cost of over £2000 but we will be invoiceing less than half of that!
